Dr Barmettler is one of only 800 surgeons that are a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS).
She was awarded “Best of ASOPRS” in 2017 by the American Academy of Ophthalmology for her peer-reviewed thesis on spacer graft in lower eyelid retraction surgery.
Dr Barmettler is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Asian Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology, New York Ophthalmological Society, and the North American Society of Academic Orbital Surgeons.
