Cindy Kuzma is a freelance writer who covers running and other sports, fitness, and health. She received an M.S. in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and is certified as a running coach by the Road Runners Club of America. You can find her work here on SELF and in many other print and online publications, including The New York Times, Runner’s World, and more. She’s also the co-author of Breakthrough Women's Running: Dream Big and Train Smart and Rebound: Train Your Mind to Bounce Back Stronger from Sports Injuries, as well as the co-host of The Injured Athletes Club podcast. She lives in Chicago, where she runs many miles on the Chicago Lakefront Trail and with Read & Run Chicago, a running club with routes inspired by books.
