Made of lightweight foam, these are waterproof and really easy to clean, our tester adds: “I rub a little dish soap on them to get them good as new.”

With their layered, leather straps and chunky buckles, Steve Madden’s Margey Sandals are like a more elegant version of the Birkenstock Arizona. They’re perfect for more formal events (think: graduations and birthday dinners), when you need a shoe that’s dressy but easier to wear than a high heel. “I love the gold buckle detail, it gives these sandals the perfect elevated look!” SELF’s associate social media manager, Katie Gunderman, says.
